CURB YOUR CARBON
CBC TELEVISION, THE NATURE OF THINGS
2022 | 44 mins
In Curb Your Carbon a very funny and famous Hollywood actor reveals the 10 simple and effective ways we can all fight climate change right now and cut millions of tonnes of CO2.
From wasting less food to eating less meat to eating more bugs our narrator will make you laugh with a little help from some other famous people like:
André Lotterer, a Formula E racing driver from Germany who never hits the gas
Benjamin Wong, a Canadian visual artist who turns plastic waste into amazing art
A group of tree-planting Mom’s in Kenya
A family of garbage stealing Ninjas in Canada
And a culinary double dare involving a New Zealand rugby team and a mob of methane -producing sheep. Has to be seen to be believed.
Curb Your Carbon also unveils extraordinary animations that transform climate change stats into numbers that dance. OK, so they won’t actually dance, but they will make sense. Rather than talk about “a tonne of CO2” – which, let’s face it, means nothing when referring to a gas you can’t see or touch – Curb Your Carbon will turn it into an actual weight and drop it on a car.
This is a documentary that not only makes you chuckle but also provides a blueprint for fighting climate change. By working together we have the power to cut C02 emissions and give our planet a fighting chance.
And did we mention that it’s narrated by a very funny and famous Hollywood actor? If not, we should have.
